Every year, on April 23rd, (23 NISAN NATIONAL SOVEREIGNTY and CHILDREN'S DAY), we proudly celebrate by bringing our kids in for many wonderful activities. This year, we had the kids particiate in an Olympics, demonstrate our Folklore Dancing, read poems and sing songs from Turkiye..

Every year, on October 29th (the day of the founding of the Republic of Turkiye in 1923), we proudly fly the Turkish flag at Calgary City Hall. This is a very momentous occasion for us as both young and old members come to watch the raising of the flag.
Come join us this year once again!
We are very excited this year to be celebrating the 100th year of the founding of the Republic of Turkiye by Mustafa Kemal Ataturk.
To commemorate the occasion, we are having a Celebration Ball on October 22nd, 2023.
It will take place with coctails beginning at 6:00pm and dinner service at 7:00pm and music at 9:00pm.
For the music portion, we are bringing well-known musicians from Turkiye - TO BE REVEALED SOON
We are looking forward to an unforgettable night.
We always want our kids to be involved with 29 Ekim celebrations. Although this is a formal event, we invite our youth to also accompany their parents and come to the ball. We will have have another room for the kids complete with an entertainer, food and an adult to keep an eye on them so their parents can enjoy the evening.
Oner Kesebi was declared our Champion at our First Annual Father's Day Tavla Championship on June 18, 2023.
There were more than a dozen competitors all vying to put their name on the brand new trophy.
The round-robin format was used and after going undefeated in 6 matches, Oner was able to beat the only other undefeated player, our Secretary Burak Caglayan.
There is already tension building to see who will be crowned Tavla Champion for 2024.
If you want to be a better backgammon player, why not drop by our Sunday School and play a round or two against some of the members to sharpen your skills.
The English word for our nation has now been changed officially.
As of June 1st, 2022, Turkey will now be called TÜRKIYE - which is the way it is said in Turkish.
We concluded our annual Turkish pavilion at Global Fest. We had tremendous response from Calgarians who wanted to find out more about Turkiye and products made in Turkiye like Turkish Coffee and Cay. Thanks to some of our sponsors Sasi Kedi, the sales exceeded all of our expectations. Come visit the photo gallery to see what we did.
The Turkish Women's National Volleyball Team came to Calgary in late June of 2022 as they took on Canada and lost by a narrow margin. Our members enjoyed the excitement and exhilaration of the top notch volleyball matches as we cheered on in style. Check out the photos here...
